Colorado Traffic Accidents

Car accidents are an ongoing concern in Denver and throughout the United States. On average, more than 17,000 car accidents happen every day across the country, resulting in over 7,500 injuries and taking the lives of more than 100 individuals. In Denver, the number of daily traffic collisions is significant, with hundreds occurring each day. While fatality rates may vary, the reality remains that car accidents continue to devastate the lives of many people and their families.

In 2022, Colorado recorded over 700 fatalities related to traffic accidents, showing a small decrease from the previous year, but still underscoring the severity of the problem. A large number of these accidents can be traced back to driver negligence. Whether it’s distracted driving, speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or simply failing to follow traffic laws, human error remains the leading cause of accidents. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), human error is responsible for more than 90% of car crashes.

The aftermath of a serious car accident can be life-changing. Victims often face a lengthy recovery process that includes medical treatments, rehabilitation, and mounting medical expenses, all while missing work and struggling to care for their families. The emotional and physical toll can feel overwhelming, especially when the accident was caused by another person’s negligence.
