Colorado Auto Accidents
Car accidents are an unfortunate reality in Denver and across the United States. On average, more than 17,000 traffic collisions occur every day nationwide, resulting in over 7,500 injuries and tragically claiming the lives of more than 100 individuals. In Denver alone, the daily average of traffic accidents is staggering, with hundreds of accidents occurring each day. While the number of fatalities may fluctuate year by year, the fact remains that car crashes continue to cause devastation in the lives of many individuals and their families.
In 2022, Colorado recorded over 700 traffic-related fatalities, reflecting a slight decrease from the previous year’s toll but still underscoring the severity of the issue. Many of these crashes can be traced to driver negligence. Whether it’s texting while driving, speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or simply failing to obey traffic laws, human error remains the most common cause of accidents on Denver’s roads. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimates that over 90% of all accidents are caused by some form of human error.
The consequences of being involved in a serious car accident can be life-altering. Victims often face mounting medical expenses, lost wages, and significant emotional and physical pain. In some cases, the trauma can lead to long-term or permanent disabilities, affecting not only the victim but also their family and loved ones.
