Colorado Pedestrian Accidents
Colorado has seen a troubling increase in pedestrian-related crashes in recent years. Between 2012 and 2022, pedestrian fatalities across the U.S. surged by 35.7%, with thousands of lives lost due to vehicle collisions. That’s an average of 13 pedestrians killed every day nationwide, and Colorado continues to rank among the states seeing a sharp rise in these tragic events.
Many of these deaths are preventable and often stem from driver negligence, including speeding, distracted driving, and failure to yield. For those who survive, pedestrian crashes can leave behind devastating physical injuries and emotional trauma that take months—or even years—to heal.
Victims frequently face enormous medical costs, time away from work, and uncertainty about how to support themselves or their families during recovery. Add to that the stress of dealing with insurance companies and potential disputes about fault, and it’s clear why so many pedestrians feel overwhelmed in the aftermath of an accident.
If you’ve been hit by a car due to someone else’s careless or reckless behavior, you have legal rights. With the help of a Denver pedestrian accident lawyer, you may be able to recover compensation for medical treatment, lost wages, pain and suffering, and other damages tied to the crash. You shouldn’t have to shoulder these burdens alone.
