Aurora, CO (October 14, 2025)  A violent collision between a motorcycle and a car left two people injured on Monday, October 13, in Aurora. The collision happened around 7:40 p.m. along East 6th Avenue between Toledo Street and Vaughn Street.

Investigators said the motorcycle and car collided with tremendous force, throwing the rider onto the pavement and leaving them with life-threatening injuries. Witnesses described a chaotic scene as first responders rushed to help the severely injured motorcyclist. Emergency crews provided life-saving treatment before transporting the victim to a nearby hospital, where they remain in critical condition.

Another person involved in the crash suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was also taken to the hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released additional details about their condition or the events leading up to the collision.

Authorities closed East 6th Avenue for several hours while they examined the wreckage, collected evidence, and interviewed witnesses to determine how the crash occurred. The investigation is ongoing.

We wish those injured a full and swift recovery.

Motorcycle Accidents in Colorado

Motorcycle crashes often lead to devastating injuries because riders have little protection against the impact of a collision. In Colorado, hundreds of riders suffer catastrophic or fatal injuries every year, many of which result from preventable driver errors. These accidents leave victims and their families facing painful recoveries, overwhelming medical bills, and long-term uncertainty.

Some of the most common causes of serious motorcycle accidents include:

  • Driver Inattention: Drivers who fail to check their surroundings or overlook motorcycles can cause life-changing crashes.
  • Speeding: Excessive speed reduces reaction time and makes collisions far more severe.
  • Unsafe Lane Changes: Failing to signal or check blind spots often leads to devastating side-swipe impacts.
  • Left-turn Collisions: Many accidents occur when drivers misjudge a rider’s speed and turn directly into their path.

The consequences of these crashes extend far beyond the initial impact. Victims may need extensive surgeries, months of rehabilitation, or lifelong medical care. Lost income, emotional trauma, and the inability to return to normal life often add to the burden.

If you or someone you love sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident, you may be entitled to significant compensation. A skilled personal injury lawyer in Aurora can investigate the crash, gather vital evidence, negotiate with insurance companies, and pursue compensation for medical costs, lost wages, pain and suffering, and future care needs.
