Denver, CO — Crash With Injuries Shuts Down Part of S Sheridan Blvd

Denver, CO (April 16, 2025) – A serious two-car crash on the city’s southwest side left one person hospitalized and brought traffic to a standstill Tuesday evening.
The collision took place at approximately 7:45 p.m. on April 15, near the intersection of South Sheridan Boulevard and West Vassar Avenue. Officers with the Denver Police Department responded quickly after receiving reports of a crash involving injuries. Upon arrival, first responders found two damaged vehicles and at least one injured motorist.
Medical crews assessed those involved on the scene and transported one individual to a local hospital for further treatment. Their current condition has not been released. Traffic in the area was heavily impacted as authorities worked to clear the vehicles and investigate the cause of the crash. Drivers were asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes while the scene remained active. Investigators with DPD are continuing to piece together the events that led up to the collision.
