We hope for the full and rapid recovery of the injured victims.
Colorado Car Accidents
Car crashes are an unfortunate and frequent occurrence on Colorado’s roadways, often more common than many expect. Each year, the state records over 100,000 collisions, with urban centers such as Denver, Aurora, and Colorado Springs experiencing the highest volumes. In a recent year alone, more than 3,800 people sustained serious injuries, while over 600 lives were tragically lost in these accidents.
The aftermath of a crash can be daunting. Victims often face overwhelming medical bills, lost wages due to time off work, costly vehicle repairs, and long-term emotional and physical trauma. The road to recovery is rarely simple or quick.
The majority of these accidents stem from driver negligence—a widespread problem in Colorado and nationwide. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), human error is responsible for over 93% of traffic accidents. In Colorado, common causes include distracted driving (often linked to mobile device use), driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, speeding, and driver fatigue.
Adding to these dangers are Colorado’s diverse terrain and unpredictable weather. From icy highways in winter to sudden storms in the mountains, drivers regularly contend with challenging conditions. Heavily trafficked routes such as I-25 and I-70 are frequent sites of accidents, especially during inclement weather or rush hour. Additionally, an increase in crashes involving stolen vehicles and police pursuits has heightened risks for everyday motorists.
