Colorado Car Accidents
Traffic accidents remain a serious issue across Colorado, with thousands of collisions reported every month. As one of the fastest-growing states in the U.S., Colorado sees heavy traffic on both urban streets and mountain highways—making crashes an unfortunate daily occurrence. While there are many factors involved in car accidents, most of them stem from one common cause: human error.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), more than 94% of traffic accidents nationwide are caused by some form of driver negligence. In Colorado, reckless behaviors like distracted driving, speeding, impaired driving, and driver fatigue are among the leading contributors to roadway crashes.
Just a few seconds of distraction, like checking a text or adjusting a GPS, can have devastating consequences. At 55 miles per hour, looking away from the road for five seconds is enough to travel the length of a football field completely blind. In that moment, lives can change forever.
