Thornton, CO — Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Thornton Pkwy

Thornton, CO (April 16, 2025) – A crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan led to the death of one man and left a 12-year-old girl critically injured Tuesday night, according to the Thornton Police Department.
The collision occurred at approximately 8:15 p.m. on April 15, near the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Welby Road, just west of Colorado Boulevard. Authorities say a 17-year-old driver of a BMW sedan struck a motorcycle carrying two passengers — a 38-year-old man and a young girl.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene and transported both victims to a nearby hospital. The man later died from his injuries. The girl remains in critical condition as of Wednesday morning.
The teen driver was arrested on suspicion of careless driving causing death. Due to the suspect’s age, his identity has not been released. Police continue to investigate the crash and are working to determine the full sequence of events.
The Adams County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the name of the deceased victim once his family has been notified.
