Colorado Car Crashes
In a city as vibrant and fast-moving as Denver, car accidents are an unfortunate part of everyday life. With congested roadways, unpredictable weather, and increasing driver distractions, it’s no surprise that hundreds of people are injured in crashes on Denver’s streets each year—many suffering serious, life-altering harm.
High-traffic areas such as I-25, Colfax Avenue, and Federal Boulevard see some of the city’s highest collision rates. From rear-end impacts in stop-and-go traffic to high-speed T-bone crashes at busy intersections, these accidents often leave victims facing long roads to recovery.
Statewide, Colorado sees more than 100,000 vehicle collisions annually. In a recent year, over 3,800 people sustained serious injuries in traffic crashes across the state, with a large portion of those happening in the Denver metro area.
Behind many of these accidents lies a common thread: driver negligence. Whether it’s texting while driving, speeding through intersections, or failing to yield, reckless and inattentive behavior behind the wheel continues to put lives at risk. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), human error is a factor in more than 90% of crashes.
For those injured in a serious car accident, the aftermath can be overwhelming. Medical bills pile up. Time away from work can cause financial strain. And the emotional toll—pain, trauma, anxiety—can affect every aspect of your life.
