Denver, CO (June 9, 2025) — A serious crash early on Saturday morning, June 7, shut down northbound Interstate 25 near 20th Street, prompting a large emergency response and sending at least two individuals to the hospital.

According to the Denver Police Department, the collision involved two motorists and occurred on the northbound lanes of I-25 near the 20th Street exit. First responders arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and transported two injured parties to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.

As of 5:54 a.m., authorities closed I-25 northbound at 23rd Avenue to allow for investigation and cleanup. Commuters are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.
