Denver, CO – I-25 Scene of Injury Accident near 20th St

Denver, CO (June 9, 2025) — A serious crash early on Saturday morning, June 7, shut down northbound Interstate 25 near 20th Street, prompting a large emergency response and sending at least two individuals to the hospital.
According to the Denver Police Department, the collision involved two motorists and occurred on the northbound lanes of I-25 near the 20th Street exit. First responders arrived on the scene shortly after the crash and transported two injured parties to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.
As of 5:54 a.m., authorities closed I-25 northbound at 23rd Avenue to allow for investigation and cleanup. Commuters are urged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until further notice.
Denver police continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Additional updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
