Hit-and-Run Car Accidents in Colorado
Hit-and-run accidents remain a serious problem on Colorado roads, especially at busy intersections such as 6th Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. When a driver flees the scene, victims are left without immediate accountability, making an already traumatic event even more devastating.
These collisions often result in devastating injuries, including:
- Traumatic brain injuries that may lead to long-term or permanent disability
- Spinal cord damage causing partial or total paralysis
- Internal bleeding and fractures requiring emergency surgery
Severe burns and lacerations from shattered glass and twisted metal
Recovery from such injuries can take months or even years. Victims and their families often face mounting medical bills, lost wages, and emotional stress that can feel overwhelming.
Even if the hit-and-run driver cannot be located, victims still have options. Colorado law allows injured motorists to pursue compensation through uninsured motorist coverage. However, insurance companies often try to minimize payouts, leaving victims with less than they truly need. That is why having experienced legal guidance is so important.
