Denver, CO – Bicyclist Killed in Accident on W 38th Ave near Tejon St

Denver, CO (July 21, 2025) – A bicyclist has died following a tragic hit-and-run crash late Monday night, July 21, in northwest Denver. The Denver Police Department (DPD) responded to the scene near the intersection of West 38th Avenue and Tejon Street, where the collision occurred.
According to DPD, the crash involved a motorist who fled the scene after striking the bicyclist. Emergency responders arrived shortly after 10:30 p.m., but the bicyclist was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, and details about the suspect vehicle remain limited. Investigators are currently working to locate the driver involved.
The area around W. 38th Ave and Tejon St. was closed for several hours as officers conducted an on-site investigation. Drivers were urged to seek alternate routes during the closure.
