Denver, CO – Fatal Hit & Run on I-25 near Speer Blvd

Denver, CO (August 2, 2025) — A fatal hit-and-run crash early Saturday morning, August 2, is under investigation by the Denver Police Department. The collision occurred on the northbound ramp from Speer Boulevard to Interstate 25 and involved at least two vehicles, according to authorities.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 3:30 a.m. Two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The extent of their injuries has not been publicly released.
Police have confirmed that one person was killed in the incident. Details about the deceased individual and those injured have not yet been made available pending notification of next of kin.
The driver responsible for fleeing the scene remains at large. Officers are continuing to gather evidence and speak with witnesses in an effort to identify the suspect and determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The I-25 northbound ramp at Speer Boulevard was temporarily closed as investigators processed the scene, and drivers were urged to seek alternate routes during the morning commute.
