Colorado Car Accidents
From the congested highways of Denver to the winding roads of smaller Colorado communities, injury-causing car crashes have become a pressing concern across the state. With population growth and heavier traffic, more drivers and passengers are finding themselves seriously hurt in collisions that are often preventable.
Several recurring factors contribute to these crashes:
High-Risk Intersections – Busy junctions with heavy congestion, limited visibility, or short traffic signal cycles are common sites for serious accidents. Intersections along major routes such as I-25, Colfax Avenue, and Federal Boulevard see frequent collisions resulting in severe injuries.
Distracted Driving – Taking eyes off the road for even a few seconds to text, adjust navigation, or reach for an item inside the car can lead to devastating crashes. Distracted drivers often fail to react in time to avoid collisions.
Speeding & Aggressive Driving – Driving above posted limits or weaving through traffic significantly increases the severity of injuries in the event of a crash. Neighborhoods, school zones, and commercial areas are especially dangerous when speeding is involved.
Hazardous Road Conditions – Poor lighting, icy roads, and limited signage make accidents more likely, especially in Colorado’s mountain and rural areas, where the weather can shift rapidly.
