Denver, CO - Two-Car Crash Ends in Injuries on E 46th Ave

Greenwood Village, CO (September 25, 2025) A violent multi-vehicle crash sent six people to the hospital on Thursday evening, September 25, in Greenwood.

The crash happened around 6:52 p.m. on the southbound I-25 near Arapahoe Road by Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre. Several vehicles collided, leaving debris scattered across the highway. One car leaked fuel, prompting South Metro Fire Rescue to request a HazMat team while firefighters worked to make the scene safe.

Witnesses said some victims appeared trapped inside their crushed vehicles after the impact. Emergency crews worked quickly to free them and provide critical care on-site. Paramedics transported six people to nearby hospitals with serious injuries. Authorities have not yet released updates on the victims’ conditions.

The crash caused major disruption during the evening commute as first responders contained the fuel spill and cleared the wreckage. Investigators spent several hours at the scene, examining the wreckage and gathering evidence to understand what caused the devastating chain-reaction crash.

Our hearts are with the victims and their families during this difficult time. We wish them a full and swift recovery.

Multi-Vehicle Accidents in Colorado

Colorado’s highways, including busy stretches like I-25 through Greenwood Village, see thousands of multi-vehicle crashes each year. Heavy traffic, high speeds, and frequent lane changes create conditions where a single mistake can trigger a chain reaction.

Some of the most common causes of severe multi-vehicle wrecks include:

  • Distracted Driving: Texting, calls, or in-car technology take a driver’s attention away from the road.
  • Speeding: Reduced reaction time and greater impact force make crashes more severe.
  • Impaired Driving: Alcohol or drugs remain a major factor in deadly wrecks.
  • Weather Hazards: Rain, ice, and snow can turn highways treacherous.
  • Driver Fatigue: Long commutes and trucking schedules slow reaction times.

Victims of severe crashes often face long hospital stays, costly treatment, and weeks or months of lost income. Insurance companies may offer quick settlements that don’t fully cover medical bills or future needs. A trusted car accident lawyer can investigate the crash, challenge insurance companies, and fight for the full compensation you deserve.
