Aurora, CO (September 5, 2025) – A motorcyclist lost his life late Wednesday night, September 3, after colliding with an SUV in east Aurora. The deadly crash occurred around 10:00 p.m. in the 19500 block of East 38th Avenue.

According to Aurora police, a Kia Seltos attempted a legal U-turn when the collision occurred. The impact threw the rider from the motorcycle, leaving him with fatal injuries.

When officers arrived, they found the motorcyclist unresponsive and pronounced him dead at the scene. Authorities have not released the victim’s name. The second motorcyclist reportedly left the area before officers arrived.

Investigators are gathering evidence and reviewing statements to piece together what happened. They will determine whether speed racing or other factors contributed to the crash. The investigation remains active.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victim’s family and friends during this tragic time.

Motorcycle Accidents in Colorado

Motorcycle accidents across Colorado often lead to devastating injuries or death. Riders have little protection when compared to drivers inside vehicles, making collisions especially dangerous. Factors like speeding, distracted driving, and sudden traffic maneuvers increase the risk of serious crashes.

Motorcycle riders are particularly vulnerable to:

  • Severe head and brain injuries.
  • Broken bones and spinal cord damage.
  • Road rash and other catastrophic injuries.
  • Fatal outcomes when high speeds are involved.

Families who lose a loved one in these collisions may face emotional pain, unexpected expenses, and financial hardship.

In such cases, working with a skilled motorcycle accident attorney can provide guidance and support. An attorney can investigate the crash, handle insurance companies, and pursue rightful compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and wrongful death claims.

Aurora residents should know their rights after a motorcycle crash. Whether dealing with a catastrophic injury or the loss of a loved one, legal help can make the path forward clearer.
