Denver, CO (September 28, 2025) A deadly crash claimed one life on Saturday afternoon, September 27, in the 2800 block of West Evans Avenue.

The collision happened shortly after noon when a motorcycle and a vehicle struck each other with devastating force. The impact sent debris across the roadway and left one person critically hurt and trapped inside the wreckage. First responders rushed to the scene, using rescue tools to reach the victim while providing emergency care.

Despite their efforts, the victim died at the scene. Officials have not said whether the victim was riding the motorcycle or traveling in the other vehicle. No other injuries were reported.

Police closed the stretch of West Evans Avenue for several hours as investigators worked to piece together how the crash happened. They examined the vehicles, gathered evidence, and interviewed witnesses. The investigation is ongoing.

We extend our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased during this heartbreaking time.

Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Colorado

Colorado’s roads draw many riders, but motorcycles offer little protection in a crash. Even at moderate speeds, a collision can cause catastrophic injuries or death. Sadly, dozens of riders lose their lives each year on Denver’s busy streets and highways.

Some of the most common causes of fatal motorcycle crashes include:

  • Distracted Driving: Drivers on phones or using in-car screens fail to see motorcycles.
  • Speeding: Higher speeds increase impact force and reduce stopping distance.
  • Impairment: Alcohol and drugs slow reaction time and cause deadly mistakes.
  • Failure to Yield: Drivers often turn left into the path of an oncoming motorcycle.
  • Hazardous Roads: Debris, potholes, and uneven pavement are dangerous for riders.

Families who lose a loved one in a motorcycle crash face sudden heartbreak and heavy financial strain. Funeral costs, lost income, and unexpected medical bills can be overwhelming. Moreover, insurance companies often pressure families into accepting early, low settlements.

A compassionate wrongful death lawyer in Denver can investigate the crash, prove fault, and fight for the full support the family needs.
